No. 1 on Your Birthday
Here's a very cool site, courtesy of Christine in Leominster.
Plug in your birthday to see the number 1 song in the United States (or the UK, if you prefer) the day you arrived into this world.
My No. 1 was the Everly Brothers' "Cathy's Clown."
For some perspective, my daughter's No. 1 was Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl."
Now that's a generation gap.
Christine from Leominster? I have to suspect it's the same Christine I'm thinking of. Wait, just clicked your about button and now I know it's the same Christine. For the record, I wandered by here because the link to this entry is listed on my yahoo home page as Leominster News from the Topix.net feed. Normally it's stuff from the local paper, so I was surprised to see where it linked.
For the record, I'm Petula Clark's "Downtown".

"Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" for me -- there's some rhyme and reason in that... It's also fun to type in your wedding day: that turned out to be "Ghostbusters" for us. Gosh...

Yikes. No. 1 on our wedding day was "End of the Road," by Boyz II Men. Now what does that mean?

We should be very glad that we don't live our lives by the guidance of Pop Culture!
