After watching Madonna at the Super Bowl, it's worth mentioning her top 10 songs over the three decades she's been entertaining us.
10. Drowned World/Substitute for Love
Sounds like she's singing 69,000 feet below sea level.
9. Secret
One of her most understated vocals.
8. Erotica
Masks, lipstick and satin sheets.
7. I Deserve It
Superior vocal/percussion mix. Subtle and beautiful.
6. Lucky Star
First track, first album. Where it all began.
5. I'll Remember
Rogue 9/11 mix to this is chilling.
4. The Power of Good-Bye
Closing time at the club and she's gone.
3. Like a Prayer
MTV marketing helps an already great song.
2. Ray of Light
Brilliantly combines techno, rave and trance.
1. Don't Tell Me
Her best opening hook. Superbly written.
Great list but I don't understand how you can't include Holiday or Like a Virgin. Those songs made her career.

Good list. I would add Borderline and Rain. Oh, and Fever.
