So I'm working out this morning, something I am fairly adamant about.
It clears my brain, gets my blood flowing and puts me in a positive frame of mind.
After a fairly intense 10 minutes working my abs, I move to the weights.
Shoulders and quads today.
After a short set of shoulder reps with free weights, I lean over to pick up some heavier weights and feel a painful jolt in my lower back.
Uh-oh.
I've been here before.
For some reason, every now and then, my back muscles tell me it's time to chill out.
So I do. But it's a bummer.
A scorching hot shower and three Advil kind of help.
But I think the basement gym will be dark for a few days.
