Cubs ace Mark Prior looks like an overmatched Little league pitcher in the first inning last night, with the rival Cardinals' Abraham Nunez, Jim Edmonds and John Mabry taking him deep. Three solo home runs in the bottom of the first!

But somehow, Prior settles down and doesn't give up anything else over his six innings of work. And bottom line: The Cubs come back to win, 8-4, in 10 innings.

Last night Prior resembled the poster child for shaking off mistakes, focusing on the present and getting the job done.
