His real name is Murray Langston, and he's currently writing a book.
Langston is most noted for wearing a paper bag over his head while performing shtick on "The Gong Show." He said he wore the paper bag because he was embarrassed to appear on the show, but it was this simple move that led him to bigger and better things.
Langston developed a cult following and made more than 150 appearances on "The Gong Show," while doing stints in Las Vegas and making the rounds on many popular talk and variety shows.
Langston retired in the early '90s to focus on raising his daughter as a single father. He did step back into the spotlight, however, in 2002, revisiting his Unknown Comic role in the Chuck Barris inspired "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind."
