Buttons

When you have a 1-year-old, you realize that the world revolves around buttons.

Progress begins and ends with buttons.

Turning on the TV. Switching channels. Starting the microwave. Turning on (or off) a computer. Setting off the car alarm. Turning off the oil burner (well, that's a switch but to a 1-year-old, it looks like a button).

Making phone calls.

It's all about buttons.

Especially if they're red.
