thanks, was (and still am) a big o's fan. i was still in elementary school when "etch" played. one thing i still remember to this day and will always admire him for was his energy and hustle. he never "dogged it". he chased every ball defensively and ran out everything offensively. i even remember the late great oriole announcer chuck thompson commenting on him going after a ball that was clearly out of play for him saying that he just didn't know any other way to play. times have certainly changed.

Jack - thanks for your comment. He was not recognized as the most talented, but yes, he could hustle.
