How can you have Jordin last???!She was amazing. I think she's going to win the whole thing. It will be Jordin and Blake in the final.

Hmmm...I'm not getting the Blake thing. Just not digging him at all, and haven't been for some time now. He's got his niche, but as evidenced by his spot in the bottom three last week, he might not be connecting like he needs to (and the emotionless facial expression might be part of that.)Jordan was pretty good, but I too thought it wasn't as good as the judges praise. I agree that LaKisha might be bye bye which is too bad becausem I'm not sure that a 'professional' winning is fair (he writes after supporting another who was pretty much a pro in Bo Bice two years ago).

A couple comments about Blake. It's interesting that you use the lowercase sacred for "Imagine." I'm sure in the rock/pop world, this Beatles song is sacred. But being a Christian, I could imagine the discomfort that a considerable percentage of the Idol audience felt as Blake sang Lennon's very anti-religious lyrics.

"Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky"

"And no religion too"

Regarding no expression on his face, I think he's just a very dignified young man who doesn't sell out to the camera and the crowd the way many of America's over-the-top pop stars and pop star wannabee's do. Last night, I thought his expression was solemn and respectful to the sentiment of the song.

I am really enjoying following along each Tuesday morning as I read your recap and your thoughts.

Thanks for your comments, Joshua. I actually like Blake's demeanor. He follows the thinking that less is more and it works.
