This is right on, Dan. Integrity is precious -- it takes a long time to establish but it can evaporate in a puff.

Right on, Dan. Couldn't have said it better myself. What a sleazy (and unnecessary) thing to do.

I agree with your broader point that integrity is an essential part of leadership and that "Spygate" demonstrated a failure in leadership by the Patriots.

Leaders often fail in life because the are willing to take the risks that others are not. We should insert some perspective after a week that was filled with paybacks - from defeated rivals to armchair quarterbacks in the press box - that the Patriots are human and therefore fallible. I suppose it is indicative of the era where the same press which makes our heroes must also destroy them.

And lastly, at least for now, this lapse in leadership is isolated to eight minutes of one football game and has not been linked to the Patriots Super Bowl seasons.

Good points, Richard. We'll continue to see how this shakes out. The point is, the Patriots' season, regardless of how well they do, is tainted by the accusations.
