It was a cold wintry night in Geneseo — Feb. 15, 1983 — when I met the woman I would partner with through this journey called life.
I was a senior, she was a freshman and we locked eyes across the dusty wooden room of Uncle Waldo's, the campus punk bar and the place to hang to listen to Clash and Sex Pistols cover bands.
We set up camp at the corner of the bar, sharing pitchers of Michelob and talking about classes, music and common people we knew until the wee morning hours.
I was wearing faded Levis and a yellow Deep Purple T-shirt with a black jacket. I can't quite remember what she was wearing, but I think it was red.
Love at first sight.
Twenty-five years later, it's still magic.
Happy anniversary, Christine.
Awwwwww :)

I am impressed you remember what you wore and the date you met. That is great.

Fantastic! Monogamy is worth the investment.

Happy Anniversary. Glad to hear another Waldo love story and happy ending. I married my gal Jen almost 24 years ago. Somehow she has managed to put up with me all these years. All the best....Kevin

Thanks, Kevin. There are a few of us out there! Now if only I could get one of those late-night subs at Aunt Cookies.
