At first, we were going to boycott the EZ shop and stay loyal to our little general store, the Lake Katrine Market, But the bright florescent lights, late night hours and bigger selection lured us in. The Lake Katrine tried to modernize and compete, but the era of wooden floors, neighborhood butchers was over.

Good memory, Sue. I almost forgot about the Lake Katrine Market. Ed DeHoff liked to pick up milk on his way home from the post office.

I love reading your Lake Katrine memories because so many of them are also my memories. Good times
