Rolling Stone recently came out with its 100 Greatest Singers list, which was voted on by a collection of 179 industry artists, journalists and insiders.
Granted lists are always subjective, but it's incredibly naive that the talented Jim Morrison is listed 47th, Steven Tyler is at 99 and there is no Ian Gillan.
Rolling Stone does offer a photo gallery of 25 of the artists' voting forms, which provide a unique insight to the madness of the list.
Kind of odd that Keith Richards votes for himself at No. 20, but doesn't even include Mick Jagger on the ballot.
And ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons places himself eighth, ahead of Elvis Presley.
James Blunt lists Christina Aguilera ahead of Robert Plant. Huh?
Nice to see some recognition for Rounder artist Alison Krauss, whom David Crosby pencils in at No. 10.
Let the debate begin.
David Crosby's voice is one of the most soothing sounds in music.
Dare I also throw in the vocal pipes belonging to Art Garfunkle.

I think Jim Morrison should be in the Top 10. Aretha Franklin at No. 1? Ecch.

The problem with a list like this is someone is always left off. Maybe it doesn't mean much that Paul Stanley is not on this list, but he deserves to be. And I think John Lennon should be No. 1.

Paul Stanley? Hello? Have you completely lost your mind?
Dan, not to compare the two but Christina does have some amazing pipes.
