It sure doesn't feel like Halloween.
We have no power.
Which means no water, no heat and, for the second time in two months, tossing out a lot of good food.
Our yard is filled with snow.
There are huge tree branches in our yard.
There was no football yesterday. No ice skating lessons. No scary TV shows.
And there's no treat-or-treating tonight, because there are no lights.
So we make the best of it.
We play chess.
We have a nice lunch at Legal Seafoods. We check out the new Wegman's.
We grill shrimp on the grill.
We watch "The Lion King," "Gremlins" and "Percy Jackson & Olympians: The Lightning Thief" on a battery-powered DVD player.
We talk. We laugh. We have fun.
But it sure doesn't feel like Halloween.
